Shane is an Irish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. In 2015, he made a return to competitive football, after initially retiring in 2009, returning to top-flight football in 2016 when he signed for Bohemians. Prior to his initial retirement, he spent his career mainly with Ipswich Town, having been a graduate of Ipswich’s youth system. He also played for Falkirk and Oldham Athletic and was capped once by the Republic of Ireland U21 side and was called up to the full ROI squad under Martin O’Neill in 2018.
